In Jesus's Sermon on the Sea (Matthew 13:52), there is a statement that couldn't be more relevant. It defines every reformer or pioneer as a threshold figure in the great "chain of being":
“And he said to them, Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”
This statement springs from the spirit of the law of life and love, as it is so frequently illustrated in the spiritually motivated original texts.
Reflection: A true “master of the house” (we say “curator” today) is someone who has undergone a profound transformation process. They have left behind old paradigms and embrace newly emerging possibilities – even when they are misunderstood.
He occupies this meta-position in his niche of space and time with great care and awareness. He is both a preserver and a renewer.
Mission Statement. Only gradually did I grasp the deeper meaning of Jesus' statement. Over time, it has become a kind of maxim for me.
